Stating that he is sending his nephew, the bearer of this letter, to serve His Highness (presumably Emanuel Philibert, Duke of Savoy) and recommending him to Collegno. He begs him to love, to protect, advise and be mindful of his nephew, whom he has enjoined ever to obey Collegno.
